REMAINING BALANCE:......$______________ DATE PAID:......................................... TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. This cat/ kitten is to be REGISTERED and SOLD as a _____________________. 2. If purchased as a pet, the purchaser agrees to have the cat/ kitten castrated or spayed at the appropriate ago (approx. 6 mos. for female, 9 mos. for male), unless the cat/ kitten has already been altered by the breeder. _____ If checked, this cat/ kitten was castrated/spayed on ________. If cat/ kitten has already been altered by the breeder, proof of altering will be provided to the purchaser by the breeder. 2a. Cats sold as pets MUST be altered before ONE YEAR of age. Upon breeder's receipt of neuter/ spay certificate or other veterinary documentation of altering, the breeder shall furnish the new owner with the cat's registration papers. 3. If Items 2 and 2a are disregarded by the purchaser, purchaser must pay an additional $500.00 in damages to the breeder and any offspring of this cat/ kitten are to be delivered to CoonWhiskers' Cattery and become the sole property of CoonWhiskers Cattery and CoonWhiskers Cattery will also reclaim the original cat/ kitten without a refund to the purchaser. 4. Cats sold as pets will not be shown in ANY competition without first obtaining the permission from the selling breeder. 5. To the best of CoonWhiskers' knowledge, all cats are healthy, free of hereditary defects, diseases and contagious conditions. HEALTH GUARANTEE. CoonWhiskers' Health Guarantee covers viral and bacterial diseases, fungal infections, and internal and external parasites. The Health Guarantee extends through the following date: ________________________ (90 days from the time the cat/ kitten arrives at its new home). PLEASE NOTE: In order to qualify for the Health Guarantee, a licensed veterinarian MUST examine the cat/ kitten within 48 HOURS after delivery (except Sundays and holidays). If during this 48 HOUR period, the veterinarian feels that the cat/ kitten is sick and that the sickness was present ?before the sale, the breeder must be contacted at once before any major treatment is done (except in emergency situations). Upon receipt of statement from the examining licensed veterinarian stating that the illness was present prior to the sale, the breeder shall take the cat/ kitten back to have it treated, and when it is well, return it to you. If applicable, all costs associated with transportating the sick cat/ kitten shall be paid by the purchaser. If the cat/ kitten should die from a problem present prior to sale, the breeder shall replace the cat/ kitten with one of equal quality. There are no cash refunds. In case of illness, the breeder MUST be notified immediately by phone or this Health Guarantee is NULL and VOID. 7. Additionally, the purchaser agrees to the following: a. The cat shall receive its vaccinations in described in Paragraph 6 in timely manner, and MUST receive regular yearly veterinary examinations. b. The cat WILL NOT be denied veterinary attention. If the new owner is unsure as to whether the cat is in need of a licensed veterinarian, a vet will be contacted, the situation be explained, and the vet's advice be acted upon. c. The cat will be kept strictly inside, or watched closely on a leash or in a completely enclosed run. d. The cat shall receive the proper nutritional food that meets the nutritional expectations of a growing Maine Coon cat. The cat shall have access to fresh water at all times. e. The cat WILL NOT be declawed. f. The cat shall receive kind and loving attention and shall not be abused or mistreated in any manner. g. If for reasons other than the animal's health, you cannot retain ownership if the cat, the breeder shall have the first right of refusal for no more than the original purchase price of the cat. h. Additionally, the purchaser agrees to obtain the breeder's permission before selling or leasing an unaltered cat from their cattery to any other party for breeding purposes. If the cat/ kitten is sold as a breeder/ show cat, seller will furnish registration and pedigree to the new owner, when the cat goes to his/ her new home. i. No cat/ kitten from this cattery shall be bred to any cat other than a registered Maine Coon cat. j. No cat/ kitten from CoonWhiskers Cattery shall be sold/ given to an animal shelter, sold/ given to a pet store, or sold/ given to a laboratory. Legal disputes over this contract will be held in a court chosen by CoonWhiskers Cattery. Purchaser shall be liable for any court costs and related charges including attorney's fees associated with breeder enforcing the terms of this contract. |
